Suggestion for future poetry contests: create categories for the best poem about the college experience or the joy of learning or what a library has done for the writer, also to show the writing/rewriting experience add a category for the best rewrite, either of a poem submitted in a previous contest or showing the development process of a newly submitted poem. Hope this is helpful.

I look forward to reading the poems submitted by the other winners. Many thanks to those of the library staff and faculty for hosting the poetry contest. Maybe we can do it again. Or hold another creative writing contest in the short story form.
